Digital Scrapbooking


This week you'll create a digital scrapbook page using Adobe Photoshop.

Digital Scrapbooking is the art of creating a digital scrapbook page using scanned or uploaded photos and various digital effects and embellishments available from an uncountable number of online digital scrapbooking sites.
Here's an example:



  1. First, visit the following webpage to discover a little bit more about this digital art.

2. After you read the general information, send an e-mail to computingtec@gmail.com, and with your own words explain the following questions:

  • What is digital scrapbooking?
  • What kind of programs can you use?
  • What is a layout?
  • What are freebies?
  • What are embellishments?
  • What are the advantages of creating digital scrapbook albums?
  • Search 3 examples of digital scrapbook pages

3. Let's get started, use your pictures to create a digital scrapbook page, the theme? Valentine's Day!!

4. Search on the internet for webpages that offer freebies and download them to create your project. What can you look for? digital papers or backgrounds, embellishments, frames, stamps, stickers, etc. You are free to choose fonts, colors, brushes, etc. It must include a quote or phrase related to love or friendship.

BE CREATIVE!!

5. PS document settings: width: 35 cm - height: 35 cm - resolution: 80 ppi

6. Due date: before Sunday February 6th

7. Reward: $5 compudollars (after the specified due date, the grade will decrease and you will not earn compudollars)

Third Bimonthly Exam

“Magazine Layout”

Instructions:

· Create a new file with the following format: Width 1102 pixels / Height 827 pixels / Resolution 70 ppi / Color mode RGB 16 bit / Background transparent

· To place the pictures and text in the correct order, use the grid. (Viewàshowàgrid)

· Fill the first layer with a linear gradient of two colors (1°- R:232 G:255 B:139 / 2°- R:255 G:224 B:117)

· Use a half tone brush to decorate the background. (color: white / opacity: 50%)

The magazine is divided in two parts. (Use the ruler to create a division Viewàrulers)

1. Main title. “Feng Shui” (Font: Luna Bar / Size:80 pt / Character space: 50 / color: R-140 G-102 B-1 / stroke: white, 5 px / Warp Text – Flag)

2. Title. “What is Feng Shui?” (Font: Century Gothic / Size: 36 & 48 / color: black & R-255 G-192 B-0)

3. Text. (Font: Century Gothic / Size:24 / color: black)

4. Text. (Font: Century Gothic / Size: 24 / color: black / stroke: 9 px – R:143 G:203 B:0)

5. Picture. (drop shadow – spread 31, size 18 / stroke 5 px – color free to choose) Adjustments (brightness 40 / hue +110 / saturation +20)

6. Picture. (drop shadow – spread 31, size 18 / stroke 5 px – color free to choose) Adjustments (contrast 60 / photo filter – violet 100%)

7. Picture. (drop shadow – spread 31, size 18 / stroke 5 px – color free to choose) Adjustments (desaturate / brightness -21 / contrast 42)

8. Brush. (color free to choose / resize it)

9. Flower. (Flip it horizontally / remove the background) Adjustments (opacity 50%)

10. Text. (free to choose different colors, sizes and font / Warp text – Arc +20% / bevel and emboss/outer glow)

11. Shapes and text. (free to choose different shapes, colors, sizes and font) (must have: rotation, gradient overlay and drop shadow)

12. Pictures. (office-school-garden) Adjustments in hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, photo filters, etc. (stroke and drop shadow)

13. Use brushes to decorate your work.
